This pan came pre seasoned, which is a definite plus. It does a great job of making the marks I wanted and can go in the oven if needed. I love cast iron and that's just about the only kind of skillet I use. If seasoned properly they are non-stick. The only thing is I wish it was just a bit bigger. It's not too small, but it is a little smaller than my other skillets....still very functional though.
