One side of the cable appears to be nylon backed for extra strength. I'm using it on a LattePanda v1 to a 10.1 touch screen and it works perfectly for that.Just as an FYI the ends are detachable and come detached. If you are unsure there is a little brown tab you flip up on the socket that allows the ribbon to be slipped in gold fingers down.
