It works great! Definately less food being tossed out of the cage since we got it. It's easy to clean too. **Q: Has anyone tried this for pigeons? I love the concept but nervous the opening may be a little small** A: The hole diameter is about 2" in diameter if that helps! **Q: what is it made of?** A: Not sure what kind, but it's some kind of plastic. If your animal is a stinker like my caique, he pops the top off....however he can't dump the bowl so it works out well. **Q: Will this work for chinchillas or is it too small?** A: No, this item is designed for birds, sugar gliders, marmosets, flying squirrels, and other small climbing animals.
