I had also heard that feeding my dog a grain free dog food was best. I was previously feeding my dog science diet. My husband feels like the small kibble is a bit messy because it falls out of her mouth while she's eating it. So, he feels like she is having difficulty eating such small kibble with such a big mouth. My doh has been eating this dog food for about 4 months. She has a beautiful Shiney coat, and seems to be growing appropriately for a great dane. Sometimes I wonder if she actually likes the food though because she seems to avoid eating g her food until she's sure she wot be able to scavane any people food. But I think that's probably just a dane thing. I'd like to add that we origonally fed her the fish formula but after getting tired of the fish smell wafting from the bum of my dog, switched her to the lamb formula. .... get the lamb formula.
