From a long day walking around the ruins of Tulum to swimming in cenotes & hanging out at the pool this hat was everything I needed & wanted! I’m a big hat guy, I love wide brimmed hats that keep my head cool, keep the sweat off my brow & most importantly keep the sun off my face & This is by far my favorite hat so far. The brim is just wide enough to keep the sun off your face neck & ears but not too wide, it’s stiff enough to stay out of your vision but still folds up so it’s portable, the mesh on top keeps your head nice & cool but doesn’t allow it to get burned, it washes easily & dries quickly.The only bad thing I have to say is in regards to the “cooling technology”. Mission would have you believe that wetting their products & then wringing them out magically turns the hat into an air conditioner on top of your head…HAAAA! Not even close. The hat is “cool” for about 1 minute but then it warms up just like anything else would.That said, if you’re looking for a rugged, stylish portable boonie hat to keep the sun off your face & head then look no further. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I tried on a lot of hats for the job, but.. *by M***M on February 15, 2022* ..no other hats seemed to fit the bill. I never bought Mission items before, but I needed a hat to keep the sun off my head and out of my face for an upcoming trip to a very sunny/high humidity location. I read some reviews for this hat and decided to take a chance on this one, because this would save me from needing a separate cooling towel. I cannot say how the cooling will perform in any intense environments just yet, HOWEVER, it's currently sitting (dry) on a ledge directly under a heating vent, and it STILL gives off a cooling effect, and even when put on, so I have high hopes it'll get the job done! I originally bought the khaki color and enjoyed it so much I returned to buy the gray also! With both neutrals they'll match any outfit, although I wouldn't mind buying some more non-neutral colors (pink? ocean blue?) for the hat wardrobe! :) The hat is soft, has a decent sized brim, is lightweight, adjustable (both at the back of head and at the neck/chin strap), and foldable (which is great to shove into pockets or bags when not in use!).
