First the factory plastic cracked and dang that hurt when it pinches your arm. Oh well, it was hard anyway. So I glued a short piece of pipe insulation to rest on. It worked pretty darn well but it wears out fast going almost flat. Then I found this armrest. I slipped it in and... Ahh... It's wonderful! I hope it lasts. It does put my arm a little higher than my contraptions, that felt weird, but within a few miles it felt perfect. I may have a 150 mile round trip ride in a couple weeks and this will make it easier. Edit: I was out for an hour+ drive and that far back again, it was great to have. I was reading other reviews and one that said he took the aluminum plate off an used velcro sounds like a GREAT idea since other posts mention how it can scratch your window. I might have made one myself but I don't know what kind of padding to use for long term use.
