Letting grey grow in and don't want ginger ends down the line** A: My hair is naturally all grey but felt it was dull and don’t like the blue or purple look. This is more of a steel grey. I use it every other wash and don’t leave it on for more than 1/2 minutes. It does wash out if you stop using . **Q: Can I use this to transition from boxed dye to natural grey** A: I would say no ...when I was transitioning from dyed brown hair my hairdresser stripped the brown out of my hair and then I had a multi tone ash wash applied. I also had my hair cut shorter to help with the process quicker. This steel grey colour is very dark. Once my hair had virtually grown out with the last remaining “washed multi tone colour” I mixed this colour with conditioner to help as the colour wash was just on the last few inches of my hair. I don’t regret for one minute persevering and only wished I had gone grey sooner ! For me the start to finish was around 4 months. **Q: Can I use this to just darken my grey regrowth whilst trying to grow brown dye out** A: Yes definitely I did as I used this product during lock down. It really helped me - warning its very dark wear gloves to protect hands and nails from staining. Even though I am naturally grey now - I use occasionally to give my grey hair other grey multi tones. I would also suggest mixing with some hair conditioner - the other colour I used during lockdown was platinum and mixed with the steel grey I would recommend doing a strand test **Q: Do you use it on dry or wet hair ?** A: It is meant to be used on wet, washed hair like a regular conditioner. If I want it to be a darker which I sometimes do I put it on dry hair. Leave for up to 30 mins, no problem. I have grey salt and pepper hair, getting lighter by the day and this product gets rid of the washed out look and gives me a shiny silver steel grey. I like it a lot, you cant go wrong, if its too dark it washes off. The colour does build up over time but it is not permanent. It does not wash out like hair dye so no browny or mousy shade, it just lightens, 2 or 3 washes your back where you started. Give it a try, you may like it, I do. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Godsend for growing out greys without brassy ends! *by A***R on 27 January 2025* I’m on my second attempt at growing out my natural hair and embracing the grey, after years of box dying my brunette hair. The thing that caused me to fail last time was not being able to deal with the demarcation line between my (still fairly dark) salt and pepper, and the old faded, brassy orange dyed part, which just kept getting more and more brassy over time. Now, this conditioner doesn’t do anything permanent to the hair so it won’t disrupt my grow out, but if I just put it on the old dye, it completely takes the brassiness away, and leaves the line much less noticeable. I think this will be the thing that helps me totally ditch the dye forever this time. See the before and after pics to see for yourself! Very much more bearable on this long journey to embracing the grey.It’s also very affordable which helps - I get 4-5 uses out of a bottle on my bra-strap length, thick hair. It doesn’t leave the hair super soft like other conditioners, so I just use my normal conditioner after washing it out. I use it every other wash or so, applied on clean, freshly washed and towel dried hair for 20 mins, just like hair dye. Use gloves and scrub it off any skin before it stains. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cannot belive the results !! *by A***R on 23 December 2024* I have been growing out natural grey roots which was a mixture of salt and pepper the bottom half of my hair was built up black box dye that I had to bleach up as the demarcation line was too much but then i was struggling with the warmth comming through after I then applied a popular grey dye.
