One day, Mia wakes up to find that none of her superpowers work. She can’t fly, she doesn’t have superspeed, and she definitely can’t lift an elephant anymore. Not only that, it turns out that her best friend, Eddie, who’s always been just a regular kid, wakes up to be totally SUPER! With Mia and Eddie now in each other’s shoes, will they be able to work together to get through this super switcheroo? With easy-to-read language and illustrations on almost every page, the Mia Mayhem chapter books are perfect for emerging readers. Review: Celebrate diversity and peaceful multiracial interactions in these books! Just awesome! - I got all of these books for my classroom library. The author and illustrator tackle so many issues facing children today in a fun, comic way. With all the racism and injustice happening in our country right now, I am so thankful to see that the superhero is a Black girl and, in this book, is best friends with a White boy whom she teaches how to use his unexpected superpowers. I don't want to give the book away, but my students really love the Mia Mayhem series with their adventurous, light spirited, diverse stories told from the perspective and voice of a child superhero. They are drawn to the comic features of the books. I can't sing enough praises for Kara West and Leeza Hernandez for creating these "Can't Put It Down" books for children. I simply can't wait to get #11 in the series: Mia Mayhem Rides the Waves. If you're a teacher, this series is worth the investment for your classroom library. If you are a parent, Aunt, Uncle, grandparent, or guardian looking to teach children that not just white kids can be superheroes or are looking to diversify their reading world, you will not be disappointed in these books. They show healthy interracial friendships, families, and interactions, something children need to see on a daily basis in order to make this world a better place for them to live in. Review: Great books. - These are wonderful books for young readers. They’re very engaging and a lot of fun. Our daughter loved them from the very first book and we order every new book as they come out. I do wish they were a little bit longer, but I think the length of these fine for engaging young readers as the longer books tend to run on too long. It’s difficult to keep some kids engaged for 300 pages, but 130 pages feels like a good amount. Especially when they enjoy them enough to want to read them all and for 5 dollars a book, that’s a fair amount. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #380,765 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #457 in Children's Superhero Science Fiction #2,457 in Children's Chapter Books (Books) #6,046 in Children's Action & Adventure Books (Books) | | Customer Reviews | 4.9 out of 5 stars 171 Reviews | ## Images ![Mia Mayhem and the Super Switcheroo - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81uhA+Lg90L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Media Format** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Celebrate diversity and peaceful multiracial interactions in these books!
