They are also the real thing and my snail likes them, not that reconstituted calcium stuff. My snail won't eat that stuff.

**Q: Has this been Steralised?**
A: We use these for our giant African snail, we are meticulous with hygiene for him.  These are spotless and well treated.  Very happy with the product and so is the snail.
