I decided to use natural materials like teak and acacia wood wherever possible, so this teak stool was exactly what I was looking for. It is very sturdy and boy is it SOLID! The wood is seriously thick and heavy. Assembly was straight-forward, with 8 Allen screws in all that needed to be inserted and tightened. The only issue I had was with the alignment of the holes, which was slightly off on a couple of them. But I was still able to tighten the screws all the way into their intended holes, it just took a little extra effort to get past the misalignment. We remodeled our shower to be a Roman walk-in style, so the stool gets exposed to some water since it's right at the edge of the shower opening (which has no door - look at the photos to see what I mean). This stool is so heavy and solid that my wife can put her foot on it to shave her legs and I can put my foot on it to dry my legs and it doesn't tilt or slide at all.
