If the battery is so low that you are getting a battery light or error, the battery needs to be charged. Once the battery is charged to normal levels, cigarette lighter operations can continue. Another problem we frequently see is a blown fuse. Any Porsche dealer should be able to test your cigarette lighter to see if the fuse has blown.
