Tankersley, if you are looking to rework an area of the painting, I would not use the workable fixative as it is mainly for smudging types of media like pencil, charcoal, pastel etc. Alhough, you can always experiment. The ink smudged before sealing the tiles and were smudge-free after using this product. I use it to preserve flowers. The spray coverage is excellent. The bottle goes on sale every now and then and I always have it on hand. The spray is absolutely clear and does not yellow at all. I usually use mine outdoors and it dries within a few minutes. It can preserve even the most delicate pieces. The durability is excellent and even at the original price it is a great value.
