We are thinking of purchasing for tailgating, need a fairly quick cool down.** A: I purchased a 22 inch blackstone for tailgating and had the same concern. I just seasoned it and had it up to 500 degrees on a 90 degree day. After I shut it down I checked the surface temp with a heat gun. In 25 minutes the surface went from 500 to 100 degrees. **Q: How high would this griddle be with the hood detached?** A: Upon measuring our griddle from the griddle without the top to the ground is approx. 34". However the legs are adjustable and our ate the whole up out for adjustment. **Q: Can this unit be used indoors** A: This unit is meant to be used outdoors to get the best and safest use. Highly Recommend! *by G***R on February 9, 2026* This griddle is awesome! It arrived within 2 days of ordering and not a scratch on it. All parts were included and it went together easily with no problems. I used the Blackstone griddle seasoning putting 5 coats on it. Perfect. Had to finish the seasoning with some bacon and onions...then might as well make some burritos, right? I also recommend getting the 12 Ft. hose with the 45 degree adapter to a 5 gal. propane tank. It's got some weight to it but it's really not bad. Very manageable.
