I use coolant and let the saw do its thing. So far it seems like I will get a lot of cutting out of the blade, as long as I don't force it. The blade that came with the saw worked, but after reading online, I decided to upgrade the blade to bimetal and I am glad I did. We use this in our manufacturing shop to cut solid aluminum bars up to 8" x 8 ". Select a coarse tooth 3 to 6 TPI and the variable pitch of the blade keeps the cutting quiet.
