Per the directions for one serving, you use the following: - 1/3 Cup of Water - 1 Cup of Triple Cheese Mac Instructions are straight forward .. Per the label, you bring the water to a boil and add the Triple Cheese Mac. You stir, cover and let it stand for 5-7 minutes. What you get is a small portion of Triple Cheese Mac that is quite tasty. It isn't what my mother makes. But it is good, edible and light weight enough to carry on a backpack. Obviously, not the canister ... but a supply pouch works great. It does have a nice flavor and the pasta is small and thin. So to avoid it turning more into a mush ... make sure to take it off the heat to stand. Or you will be scraping it off the bottom of the cup. With my setup the water came to boil in less than a couple minutes so I had a serving in 7 minutes flat, if not, just. hair less. Most of the time is taken letting it stand for 5-7 minutes. In my testing, I performed this 3 times and found that 5 minutes was sufficient for 1 serving, but you need another minute or so for 2 servings.
