Model 24G-P5-3975-KR was a a perfect fit since it is the smaller version of EVGA's GeForce RTX 3090 GPU cards measuring Height: 4.38 in - 111.15mm X Length: 11.23 in - 285.37mm X Width: 2.2 Slots. Furthermore, model 24G-P5-3975-KR only required two available 8-pin or 6+2pin PCIe power dongles whereas larger models required three available 8-pin or 6+2pin PCIe power dongles. My R4 setup had two 6+2pin PCIe power dongles connected to an 850 W power supply that has worked efficiently for the new 3090 card. Physical installation was easy. Driver install was a snap. At the 900$ price sure a 2 year old series of card yet still holds its own. Looking at the reviews before purchase seeing all the thermal throttle and high temp warnings I was worried to say the least. However through my own experience and setup I have seen no issues that are not fixed by a change in case fan curve. Yes this card can reach 80 Celsius in games no it did not throttle for me. I run this card with a light overclock at 2010 mhz full voltage and power limits. With COD 2019 maxed out it rarely hits 80C at a locked 60 fps. In my setup I don’t have any crazy cooling just 10 Corsair rgb sp120 fans and a water cooled cpu in a 5000x case. Personally I view the cooling issues as user error.
