I put it on straight away without a lip liner and it's gorgeous. It actually has pigment like a lipstick. I prefer this over clear glosses that don't really do anything. Plus I've tried glosses from NYX that are just too gloopy and look you have a paste on your lips. This would also be perfect over a red that might not be cool enough. I was going to pay $20 bucks for a Korean brand because of their cherry color but I remembered buying this gloss in the past and liking it. Glad I came back to it.
