I bought this with the intent to extend the range of my Parrot Bebop 2 Drone.  From the get-go it was a PITA to setup the chinese software to configure it. Watched a few setup videos on Youtube and it was suggested to setup the Home language/location as Hong Kong or Mainland China. Then I read the legal disclaimer - you pretty much sign your life over*. I don't need XiaoMi to have permission to log all my data after creating a XiaoMi online account in order to use this device.
