I am using for an adult folding bike. It works well. **Q: Can you adjust how far the lever is from the handlebar? Meaning can you shorten the reach it takes between the handlebar and brake lever?** A: I dont believe you can. It's pretty much the standard reach of all levers that are mounted to the handlebars. This dual pull brake lever works great for braking both front and rear wheels at the same time. **Q: can I install without removing the hand grips and gear shifters?** A: No recommend buying the Ergo1 Grips these are removable grips, 4mm Allen wrench!
