Purple Haze chevre makes a delightful, unexpected addition to a dessert plate. Handcrafted in Northern California by passionate cheesemakers, with a name inspired by Jimi Hendrix's classic song, this goat's milk cheese has a sweet, flowery (but not overwhelming) flavor and soft, creamy texture.Spiked with lavender buds and fennel pollen, this uniquely delicious chevre is the perfect accompaniment to a plate of ripe figs or pears and a chilled glass of wine.

I had serious reservations about this variety of goat cheese - lavender? Isn't that for potpourri? But it was excellent! Creamy and tangy with just a light herbal hint. I have four other varieties on hand right now made by Cypress Grove and I'm excited that the rest will be as good as this one!
