The mat is very resistant to cleaning solvent and gun oil. Wipe right up. The attached small parts tray is a super addition. I use it for the recoil spring and for corralling my small tools needed for the take down process. This is my first cleaning mat of any kind for a gun and I love it. Is it machine wash safe** A: 1/8th thick oil/solvent resistant mat. Just wipe it clean. Not meant for machine washing.
