In 1990 Pierre Andre Hafner, owner, opened an office Atlanta, GA and since then the us market has been serviced for almost 20 years through a network of distributors. By the middle of 1996 the biscuits Hafner plant doubled the size of its manufacturing facility by adding an industrial size productions line of sponge cake products. In turn, the Atlanta distribution center also expanded by adding the Scottish short crust line and a list of Kosher products. Hafner product lines have made a name for themselves in the US for their top notch quality, elegance, ease of use (all items are baked and ready to garnish), one year shelf life, dry storage, resistance to humidity, and the convenient food service packaging. How long are they typically good for?** A: Not until they are filled with a filling that requires refrigeration. Don't know on the second question. But these were really good **Q: can I put a custard filling in them and bake them again?** A: We only put an already cooked and cooled pastry cream (like chocolate or vanilla) and lemon filling in them and topped them. We did not bake again. I would be reluctant to do that. There were a few broken tartlets but they were very good and we would use them again. **Q: Can you put sweet potatoes in the shells and bake** A: They are already baked. Sweet potato custard is perfect just to heat. **Q: can these tartlets be used for savory fillings** A: They have a very thin, sweet coating on the inside to help prevent them getting soggy. So the savory filling would probably have to be compatible with it. Maybe coconut shrimp?
