The old hose was destroyed during the last cleaning by the front end loaders bucket as they cleaned off the driveway....so, no complaints. It withstood years of abuse. When it came to purchasing a replacement....why would I choose anything buy a Milton hose especially with the service I got from my original hose that came with the signal back in ~1992? If you need a lot of length, you can use a cheap 3/8-1/2" garden hose spliced in-between two 25' sections of Milton hose like a friend of mine did. But, be ready to replace the the garden hose every year. They just cannot take the cold like the Milton hose. You step on or bump the garden hose section when it's real cold & it shatters. He finally just purchased another 50' to save the headache of taking time to buy another hose, replacing it & the general aggregation of it all. But I know there's someone out there who will argue he knows of something cheap....like Walmart's POS hose that's really for some other use! You cannot go wrong by purchasing the Milton Brand hose. It rang some of the time and not others. If I jumped up and down on the hose the bell would ring some of the time. Then I replaced the hose with this one and I only need to walk over the hose and the bell rang every time.
