The drink is has a taste similar to powdered juice and the effect is one similar to drinking alcohol i think but without the hangover, drowsiness, etc. i felt the effect early on (as in the 2nd gulp). Definitely a replacement for alcoholic beverages. Most relaxation drinks that I've tried mellow me out, but they also really succeed at putting me to sleep and depriving me of my motive to get out of bed for a few hours. Where is the drink that will make me want to mellow out, not fall asleep, and also enjoy my surroundings more? Enter Kalm with Kava. With this drink numbing my mouth with a few swishes or two, this product is legit, and the best tasting Kava drink out there. You can't taste the Kava, but the numbing is a tell tale sign that it's in there. Very nice mellowing effects as well, very easy to just kick back with this drink and relax.
