All of those worked somewhat well, but only for a couple of hours--certainly not enough for all night. The Xylimelts do the trick. They adhere very well and once positioned are stuck for hours. I don't really like something sticking to my teeth--am still adjusting to the feel of that--but the effectiveness is worth the discomfort of having the disc pushing on my gums. The instructions say to place one disc on the upper back tooth, and one on the lower back tooth, opposite side. I find that one disc alone is sufficient for me. I move it around from night to night as it seems to bother the inside of my mouth where it's in contact with the disc. I get a very dry mouth due to the medications I take, which gives me lots of cavities. I have literally tried every other moisturizing product on the market and the Xylimelts is the only product which has helped with my dry mouth. Sometimes I have to put two discs in, while exercising, etc., and they stick so well I have no hesitation with sleeping in them. I can drink various fluids while using them and they still stick. The mint taste dominated everything in the beginning, but I like it now. I haven’t seen my dentist yet, but I hope I have fewer cavities as it claims to be able to help with. I told my oncologist and nurse about this product, and hopefully, they will tell other patients so they can benefit from using it, like I have.
