The oil barely has any scent which is good and the whole process of massaging the oil into the skin, then using the natural pad that is included to exfoliate is easy and enjoyable. I have not had any unpleasant reactions to this oil. Once done simple rinse with water and you are finished. Afterwards my skin feels wonderful and is in perfect shape to absorb my moisturizer. The softness lasts all day. It is recommended that you cleanse twice a day. However, I will say that it cleans thoroughly (I wear mineral sunscreen and non-waterproof mascara), doesn't leave an oily residue, and my skin looks noticeably healthy and happy even after I double-cleanse with a foaming face wash. Also the sponge is very soft, definitely gentle enough for twice-a-day usage.
