Purchased this for dry brushing to help exfoliate. I expected a boars brush (or any dry brushing brush) to be rougher based off of peoples comments on youtube and blogs, but this one is pretty gentle (i.e. slightly rougher version of a mesh loofah). I've used this about 5 times so far, and have noticed a difference in my skin (softer, better overall color/texture due to increase circulation, etc).
