**Q: I have a computerized sewing machine and want to protect it. Will this work for a sewing machine? or is this more for a TV-sound system?**
A: This will turn on other devices if there is a reasonable current draw from the device. A sewing machine turns on and off so any time you aren't actively sewing It would turn off any of the ancillary devices you have plugged into the energy saver. There is one always on plug so that may help. This device is more than just a surge protector so you may be better off getting a less expensive surge protector only since the energy saver may not be needed by you.
