The chair is quite stiff and sits high, it is a replacement for a trusted old standby that sat much lower and was very comfy but well past time to be put out to pasture. I prefer sitting IN A chair not on top of a chair, for that reason, I gave 3 stars........ I can't believe that it is completely silent when the motor is moving. Not a chair for two people to sit in comfortably unless one of them is a little kid, as in the photo, but it's perfect for my husband when he was recovering from back surgery. However, as the chair was a gift for my spouse, that assessment is what is reflected here.After several surgeries, and dealing with a worn out, lever activated recliner, the size, style, price, and power feature of the Fibonacci chair was almost a dream come true. The seat pan was a perfect fit, as was the overall length. The firm arms and cup holders were a bonus.The only drawback was the fact that the unit only reclined ~160º, or 89% of flat. Not being able to lie completely flat was a deal breaker.
