One jack/ parsons Russell mix and one pitbull (i think my pitbull got the largest size, i think my russel got a small or medium) and they cover their backs all the way! Not too short. Theyre slightly long on them, but not too much. I think the length is that way intentionally.I got them mainly for some weather protection for going outside and to help them keep warm, as my small dog is getting older and the cold is a little rough on her.I havnt taken them anywhere extreme like hiking or anything in the snow yet, however when I do put these jackets on them ( so far just tested for weather 45° and cooler/ raining) they seem to be able to be outside a little longer and have more comfort when doing this business out there.They come inside, I take the jackets off and they're physically warm everywhere under the jacket.The hoods seem to do well at covering the ears and backs of their heads and they are removable. They don't seem to block their vision much or restrict movement. However, they do kind of prefer to not have their hoods on in most circumstances and that might just be personal preference.We took a walk in the rain and they seemed decently comfortable!
