It's very simple and to the point. My only complaint (and not worth taking a star) is that my 3yr old thought it was a coloring book. I think it would have maintained his interest a little more if the illustrations were more insteresting. It's also a bit repetitive; however, I understand the importance of the repetition on a subject matter such as this. This is a book we will read often as it stresses the importance of "it's MY body and anything done to or with MY body needs MY permission". It also talks about touching other people in saying that just as MY body needs MY permission, someone else's body needs their permission. My Mom used this book with me 28 years ago and now I an using it with my daughter. I looked at a lot of other books but none presented the topic the way I wanted. This is a great book to open discussions about appropriate touch, child adult relationships, and abuse prevention. This book does NOT go into detail about abuse or private parts. However it does teach assertiveness to kids in a non-scary way. We started reading this book when my daughter was ~2 1/2 years old. She is now 3 1/2 and I use the page with the "scary" looking man to talk more about the topic.
