Sometimes they slip off, but the velcro strap stays in place on her foot and with the yellow boot color they are easy to find in the dark. I use them when it snows and it is all slushy, wet and salty to protect her paws. She runs around like a nut, in the snow so I know she doesn't mind these booties at all. Putting them on for the first time requires a little patience on her part, but overall would recommend.
