Sure the build could have been a bit better ( the pins to hold the back in place are very flimsy and break with the slightest of pressures the wrong way). But since it's supposed to be just a single use thing anyway, I don't have a big gripe with that. Regarding the plastic in front - it's clear enough to see perfectly through and like I said it's job is just to be clear - not be strong enough to take a hammer. The overlapping design is pretty nice to look at. Maybe they could have overlapped the 10x8s a little less. But if you choose your photographs correctly it shouldn't matter much. They are very sturdy which also makes it easy to work with. I've gotten many at different stores but now I will only get these!!
