These straps did the job perfectly and are very durable and strong without being too thick or hard to work with. **Q: Why do the worm gears push up from whatever I have them wrapped around when I tighten them?**
A: You need to put the cut end through the clamp again at the other end of worm gear so it follows the same 
direction and curve of the clamp.

A: Don't know for sure but my clamp is holding up close to 30 lbs

**Q: band width?**
A: 1/2" is the width of the band.   I am very happy with them.   I needed some large ones so I made what I needed with what this "kit" has in it and have a bunch left!  John

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not exactly easy to use.

It is a bit of a struggle to attach the screw mechanism so it holds fast, and that the mechanism engages both ends of the strap. With careful bending of the strap where it inserts into and grabs onto the screw mechanism, they did the job. If you know the size hose clamp you need, I'd say buy the exact size. But if you are going into a project blind as I was, this can be your salvation if you deploy it carefully. The materials are of high quality and I have no doubt my clamping will last longer thanI will.
