They do not protect against thorns. They do protect my arms if I am under bushes cleaning leaves out. **Q: Do they protect you working with razor wire** A: I do not think so. I have used them today for clearing leaves from underneath a holly and privet hedge. I have numerous red marks on my arms and I also had a fleece over the top of them.
