The female product adapter has an outside diameter of 1.288 in" and a length of 1.557 in". **Q: Do these operate the same as Gardena, as in you pull the collar back to release? Is it optional to use the locking mechanism?** A: To disconnect, turn the lock ring to the left, then push the ring down. You'll have to use the locking mechanism for a leak-free connection. Also just check to make sure your hose nozzle is in an "on" position, and if the water is turned on to the spigot you are using, you should have water flow. The quick connect does not stop water from flowing.
