Other ultraviolet filters let so much infrared through that it is very difficult to see sunscreen, and plants look white due to so much infrared coming through. If you want the plants to look black (as they really are in the ultraviolet), you need this filter. Unfortunately, this was made to fit on a telescope and the threads do not match those on any camera lens or on the adapter ring sets used to adapt one camera filter size to another. You will have to make some sort of custom adapter or tape it to the front of the lens.

This is the only filter that works for ultraviolet photography. Other ultraviolet filters let so much infrared through that it is very difficult to see sunscreen, and plants look white due to so much infrared coming through. If you want the plants to look black (as they really are in the ultraviolet), you need this filter. Unfortunately, this was made to fit on a telescope and the threads do not match those on any camera lens or on the adapter ring sets used to adapt one camera filter size to another. You will have to make some sort of custom adapter or tape it to the front of the lens.

Excellent quality, quite expensive but really worth it. No contamination from IR light or visible spectrum, great image quality. Would'nt hesitate to buy it again in case I needed to. Great case for storing the filter, keeps it safe. I found this was the best option for capturing images in ultra-violet spectrum.
