This is my second replacement wireless monitoring unit, this one replaces the remote monitor for my mother's base unit which is about 5 years old. They work fine but seem to have a limited life span of 5 to 6 years. I would rate them 5 stars if they lasted longer, as I would expect them to last about 10 years- if they are outside and protected from rain and snow, as they only monitor the temperature.
