Put a few of them in I would say at least 6-8 or 10 is better **Q: Can I use these to anchor into metal studs?** A: Yes, but they’re a little harder to insert through the metal, best for Drywall **Q: I need it for a heavy tv floating shefl. shelf weights 140lbs, plus another 20-25 lbs ps5, books, etc. will this work?** A: I used these anchors to hold a cylinder storage bracket to drywall. It wasn't that heavy and isn't really load baring. If you read the small print on these anchors it's recommended to only use 1/4 of the listed load capacity. So like 66lbs. I broke a bunch trying to figure out how to get them to work correctly, and they seemed very brittle to me. I'm very mechanically inclined and it took me a bit of time and some frustration. Plus, I'm not 100% sure their right. Way more to them than the instructions suggest. I wouldn't recommend them let alone at the weights your trying to hold. You need a solid anchor point, which you may have to build out if your joists don't align at both ends. I would never trust any type of drywall anchors only for those weights. **Q: Can these be used on something like an aluminum post with about a 1/8" wall thickness?** A: The toggle requires a 1/2 dia. hole to be installed. Once installed the toggle can be positioned as required (vertically) in this situation. The only issue may be the bolts. They are about 2" long and may have to be modified depending on the diameter of the post.
