Since adding this product, I’ve actually been able to back down to four Vicodin a day from the five I’d been taking for a few years. It’s that helpful. My medication is more effective, and for longer stretches of time. I used to barely get four hours of relief, and the agmatine has stretched that to the full six hours between doses. There are occasions when it doesn’t, but they are much less frequent. This has become an integral part of my pain management regimen. I wish I could get the word out to other pain management patients. I did share it with my doctor in the hope that he will look into it and maybe recommend it to other patients. As far as frequency and dose, I take from one-half to one full scoop four or so times per day. In the morning I take it when I take my first pill, but then later I take a half scoop between pills. I probably take 2-3g per day, without any bad side effects. I’ve reordered only this brand, it is always properly sealed. I also have the capsules to take on the go. It does taste bad, but I just dissolve it in a small amount of water and drink it, the bad taste does not linger. Review: Im still working on figuring out a serving size that doesn't upset my stomach. I tried the recommended 3 grams for neuropathic pain and sleep improvement, and ended up with the pretty bad gastric upset. Luckily, GI distress subsided quickly after I stopped taking it. Knowing the benefits of Agmatine as far as balancing neurotransmitters, esp GABA, Im willing to try again, perhaps starting very slowly with the smallest, 250 mg dose. So keep it in mind if you are new to this supplement.
