It reversed so much of the scruffy feeling I got from bleaching my hair multiple times. The blue/indigo pigment took to my hair really nicely, and maintained the white blonde color that I love. It does look quite blue when my hair was still wet, but none of that tint carried over once it was dry. Just smoother, brighter hair. I didn't have to detangle my hair at all, but that's never been an issue for me. I did do an Ola plex 4 in 1 moisture mask, but alone it never really impressed me. This whole routine together was fantastic, and exceeded my expectations. The Malibu C always does! I'm really curious why some people have had such bad experiences. Maybe a chemical reaction, or not following the instructions, and shampooing or conditioning after. We have hard water, which tends to bring out the range/ red in my hair, and this did work to remove that. To get rid of brassiness from bleaching my hair, I had more luck with Color X-Change Semi-Permanent Hair Color, TONALITY TONER than any other product I had tried (ex: purple or blue shampoos, other toners, manic panic grey, etc etc). **Q: Is this a treament like the purple one i got** A: I wouldn't get it, it completely destroyed my hair and half of it broke off. It was in one huge knot when I got out of the shower. Not worth it when it barely toned my hair.
