If you use the "Tea Now" setting and time it, the water boils in about 4 to 5 minutes and then the alarm bell rings about 15-20 seconds later. Thought I could live that, it's from England and these are difficult to get over here, guess I'll deal with it. Went to make tea, cracked from the top of the handle to the bottom, got hot water all over. Went to see if I could return it, with tax, paid about $32. Amazon says I have to pay shipping up front and they estimate my return will be $31.
