Not sure if that matters but I do not turn off and on my ref. when in use or stopping and re-starting. . I do not keep it in my truck full time - only for trips. I am in the desert so in the summer, spring and fall - if I plan to park it for a few days - I do use a solar panel and that works great. **Q: Will this fit an Engel 43 qt fridge?** A: No idea, but the receptacle is not a standard cigarette lighter plug it fits the ARB fridge plug which screws in to secure it.
