Is it very flimsy?** A: Somewhat sturdy, but not super thick. It is bendable. I would say it's in between flimsy and sturdy. **Q: how thick is this mat? It says .1" in the description, that doesn't seem real.** A: I just measured my mat with my construction grade tape measure and even though I, like you, was skeptical of the thickness, I would have to concur with the product description of .11". The mat is quite thin but very tough; it rolls up easily but has a rough, pebbled texture. I have to say that I consider it an excellent purchase... **Q: Would this be recommended to use on hardwood floor to jump rope?** A: I would think you would need something larger to keep the rope from beating the floor.... **Q: Would this work well to cover cables from wall sockets to connection in middle of room?** A: The mat isn't very forgiving.
