How so?** A: Yes...it is quieter and less likely to jam. My old Vagabond got knocked on the floor by my cat and just quit working. The improvements are significant. but I wouldn't replace a working Vagabond with this one...As long as your machine works, use it. **Q: How well does this work with Anna Griffin dies?** A: I have had no trouble with many brands of thin, intricate dies. All of the brands may have issues with cutting completely, but it's the dies that are the issue, not the Vagabond. Go to YouTube to get suggestions for solving this issue...placing dies closer go the edges, using additional paper or scotch tape shims, etc. I bought the Vagabond 2 because my original Vagabond, nearly 10 years old, gave up the ghost after thousands of cuts. Don't use the base platform. Place a Bigz die and the paper between 2 cutting plates and send it through. It cuts with all my die cuts perfectly with one pass, even the most intricate. It's easy to use with the pictures to remind you of the sandwiches you need for cutting and embossing. I love the way it looks like a little suitcase when closed. It is a little heavy, but I don't mind that. I do think the extra plates needed such as the precision plate for intricate dies, and the magnetic plate for keeping metal dies in place while cutting are expensive, and should be included with the purchase. You surely don't get anything extra with this set. Other machines include multiple dies and embossing plates. It sets up quickly right out of the box and works very easily and well. Some things that were not cutting cleanly with my manual machine are breezing through this one. It is also a very cute design.
