We recommend no contact with water for several hours after applying the product. I would say 6-8 hours to be safe. The base ingredients are the same of that of an organic body lotion. Is it ok to use on my face?** A: It’s perfectly safe and good to use on your face. The only thing I notice is after it develops if you have large pores (most obvious on my nose) they may look darker too. Like little pin pricks of darkness in my pores. It’s ok though because after I wash my face a couple times they fade to their normal color. If you desire a darker tan, simply reapply it again the following day and so on until you reach the desired color. Once you have the color you were after, simply reapply every 4-5 days to maintain the tan. Be sure to wait about 5-8 hours before going in water after applying the lotion. Apenas la empecé a usar ### ⭐ Review *by J***E on 1 December 2021* Had a allergic reaction ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by L***R on 30 March 2026* Compared to another, similarly mostly organic tanning product, I absolutely love that this has a very mild scent that is pleasant even, and dissipates. I'm a redhead with some freckles - got the medium color - didn't use a mitt, just put it on like any lotion and rubbed in well, then waited about 30 minutes before finishing getting dressed. The color began to show in a few hours and then darkened even more over night. It is a very nice shade, not orange or yellow - looks pretty natural! It turned out a little darker than I wanted for my face, so I just ordered the light color in a smaller tube to try. By the way, I break out pretty easily, even now in middle age, and this product didn't cause any problems at all on my face. In fact, my skin felt softer all over after application. The aloe and shea butter make this a really lovely product. I had a little bit of streaking where I didn't apply it evenly on the underside of my arm, and I put a tad too much on my ankles and feet, but not enough for other folks to really notice. Hopefully I'll be able to avoid that in the future with a little practice. It wasn't enough to worry about really, or deter me from using the product again.
