**Q: Is there any purpose for burning these sticks besides fragrance?**
A: the spiritual reason is to remove negativity and release tension from the place it is burned.. while  calming the energies of  those lucky to  feel and smell the fragrance of that Holy wood surrounding their being.

A: Just like wood burning. A bon fire. Not like other Palo santo I've had

**Q: Are these soaked in oil? Or natural?**
A: Naturally fragrant. A very dense and slow burning wood.

**Q: Are these a bad product or what???**
A: Wont buy these again.. 1 ounce short and took for ever to get them.. and didn't get any response when messaging them.. read the reviews is all you need to do.. good luck..  buy from some one else.

I wanted to try this to freshen a room, add ambiance, and create relaxing atmosphere. I had not smelled this before. Many other reviews were helpful and accurate. This has a very mild vanilla, mint, sage, cedar scent. Repeat - this is a mild aroma. You might detect the faintest hint of francincense (since it is related), but I hesitate to mention it, since I don't like pure francincense resin. I am very pleased. It seems to smell more sweet and vanilla when first lit. Then it mellows further. This is different and immensely better than any incense I have ever smelled. Sticks are maybe 4 inches. It only burns about 1/4 inch before extinguishing after about 10-15 minutes. So you use a stick many times. The wood is very light (meaning not dense; low mass) like balsa. It must have a bit of volitile sap like pine or cedar because it will burn like fat wood if you let it. But that takes a while to start over a good flame, and you can easily blow it out when the amount of stick you desire has been lit. Then it will smoke gently for 10 minutes, extinguish by itself, and cool rapidly. You can score a ring around a stick using a knife or scissor and easily break it into smaller pieces if you want to fit this into a small incense burner. A great way to use it is to stick the unlit end of a stick into a small, clay bowl filled with sand. Holy Wood is a good name for it. I will purchase repeatedly from this seller.
