My suggestion would be to call the manufacturer if you have any concerns, but I've used Blistex for over 30 years and have never had a problem. **Q: expiration date** A: These items truly do not expire because of the composition of their compounds. That's like saying oil expires. There is No expiration date on this item. **Q: Is this the authentic brand for the balm?** A: Lip Medex is about 60% petrolatum. I like it.
