I did buy the food grade product so I could ingest it if I chose. I have mixed this with orange-mango juice in a shaker and drank it, as you can imagine it is a bit gritty. I personally worry about mercury, lead and other toxic elements, that is why I bought the food grade. It is not supposed to have it in any detectable levels, but because of this and I am not sure what the company is u sing to teat for these (gcms?), I have only ingested it a couple of times. If I felt my body needed a full detox however I would have no issues ingesting with with a detox diet.As you put this clay on your face you can feel it drawing out the purities from your skin. Don't leave it on aNY longer than 20 to 30 minutes and only use it a couple of times a week, it can dry out areas of your skin.
