They are in their 80's and cannot figure out how they work. I have never seen the package myself. Help?** A: You ordered them the variety pack, which is different sizes of toe, hand and body warmers. Each one is individually wrapped. They just have to open one of the packages, and once it is exposed to the air, it activates the ingredients. They don't get super hot, but will do the trick if it is not too cold outside. I like to put them in my pockets for football games, etc. **Q: How long do these typically stay warm? long enough to make it through an nfl football game?** A: I can't give you an exact time on how long they last but it is quite awhile. It should make it through a football game or really close. My husband like to put them in his boots to keep his feet warm in the winter time. **Q: are these the ones that are reusable?** A: Shocked to discover that they (sometimes) are! They get solidified once used, so you have to break up the contents before shaking them and exposing them to air to get them going again. **Q: what is the expiration date?** A: We bought in November 2014. You get: - 5 pairs of hand warmers (10 single hand warmers total). Each pair of two is about 45 grams. - 5 "body and hand" warmers. This is basically one extra large warmer. Each one is about 55 grams, so just one of these has more of the warming mixture than a pair of the smaller hand warmers. This warmer also lasts a few hours longer, and it feels like it generates heat faster, probably due to the larger mixture. The heat output of this bigger one is similar to: iHateTheCold Rechargeable Reusable Maxi Pink 8800mAh USB Hand Warmer / External Battery Pack / Power Bank / USB Charger for smartphone and tablet / LED flashlight and Strobe Light - 3 pairs of toe warmers. These are amazing, your toes just stay warm, and heat is consistent. They have an adhesive at the bottom to stick in your shoes. Try to stick them in the middle to keep it comfortable while walking. This product is recommended, it has everything you need, but I did wish it had a few more pairs of toe warmers, because they feel so great! I'm also a bit thrifty so for the pairs of hand warmers I always just use one at a time :D.
